New Class Term Begins THIS WeekThere's lots going on these days at the studio. We start a new 6-week class term next week. Find our class schedule here. $187.50. Join our cozy clay community! Please call to register. *This Thursday, 4pm is our first Clay Corner project class for kids and teens. See below and visit site for more details. **Our next adult Sip 'n' Shape class is Thursday, 11/13 at 7pm. See below and visit site for more details. ***And we have a 3-session Bead-Making Workshop beginning on Tuesday, 12/2. See dates and projects below Cost per class is $45, unless noted otherwise. Must call or email to register in advance. Space is limited Students learn handbulding techniques from pinch pots to coils, slabs, and sculpture. Some projects are centered on wheel throwing items. Thursdays, 4-5:30pm - 11/6 (stamped mugs) 11/20 (wall pockets), 12/4 (vase, pencil/utensil holder from cut-out mini slab shapes). More dates and projects to be announced. Stay tuned!New Sip 'n' Shape - AdultsUpcoming Sip 'n' Shape Classes: *11/13/14 (7pm-9pm) - Quilted Vase from Mini-Cut Slab Shapes - Use it as a vase or catch-all - $55.New Bead-Making Workshop - AdultsBead Making Workshop (12/2 12/9, 12/16, 1pm-4pm, meets 3 times). Explore various handbuilding techniques while making beads, pendants and other components to use in our upcoming jewelry making class or in your own home made designs! Cost is $150.Become a Monthly Studio MemberFor experienced ceramists, potters, and art clay sculptors not interested in taking classes, Yonkers Peace Pottery Studio offers studio membership n a fully equipped professional ceramics studio with 2 electric kilns, 2 large handbuilding tables, 10 electric wheels, slab roller, extruder, 2 regularly-stocked clay bodies, and a full palette of glazes. Please read our studio pottery guidelines and polices for more information. *Rate below does not cover tools, underglazes, or firing fees (currently 4-cents/cu. inch). *We all participate in studio clean-up and general maintenance.
